I checked to make sure I didn't have the wrong style applied.  That't the basic W7 style and I run large icons in the taskbar.  It looks high to you?

Compare it to my screeny (top image shows large icons)

You have a lot of space under the startbutton compared to how it should look.

Tim there is a difference in how our taskbars look.  I think I'm showing the Win 7 look, could be wrong, you seem to be showing something different.  Is that the problem?

Philly, try unlocking your taskbar and then pulling the upper edge 'down'. Also, which substyle are you using?

When using large icons that the smallest the taskbar will go.

Win 7 shown in both the top and bottom image the top is with large icons and the bottom is with small. I'm trying to find out if it's skin related or if it's your settings.

I'm not showing text with the icons and you are, that is the difference that I was talking about.  I never change the settings in the skin.

I like those UFO's. They are so cool. And why would this really snowy and fun to play with wall not be in the gallery? All ya need is a really big cardboard box. Flatten it out and down ya go ...... Blam! Right smack into a tree that wasn't there when you started. Bummer.
